About Chicago Strings
Chicago Strings has been serving Chicagoland professional musicians and students for over a decade and now has a retail location in the heart of Evanston. Owner Jeff Yang is a nationally known violinist who was the violin soloist with Mannheim Steamroller for over ten years, and has toured as the conductor and concertmaster for the operatic pop group Il Divo, and as first violinist for Corky Siegel's Chamber Blues. He is also the creator of the In The Realm Of Senses multi-sensory art project in Chicago that is set to open the fall of 2018. Locally, he performs regularly with the Grant Park Symphony, the Palomar Ensemble and has appeared on numerous PBS Soundstage programs with artists such as Faith Hill, Jewel, as well as many other artists on the Oprah show. Being a versatile player and a knowledgeable about instruments and tone, Mr. Yang has the ability to cater to the very specific needs of the performing musicians as well as finding the right instrument at the right price for the professional or the student. Chicago Strings has built a reputation for honesty and providing exceptional sounding instruments to professional players and students for over ten years. He is also the creator of the In The Realm Of Senses multi-sensory art project.
